Who are we looking for?

We are always on the lookout for individuals who are interested and motivated to work in our fast paced environment. We stress the importance of time management when deciding to apply at Brenen’s Coffee Cafe. Successful employees tend to know how to balance their academic, work and social time well. We expect all of our employees to bring a positive attitude and a willingness to listen and learn during their time at Brenen’s. Lastly, we look for employees who are interested in having a job throughout their college career. We do not hire just for summers or single semesters. Once we have invested time and training into an employee, we hope to keep them for at least a year.

How do we schedule?

All employees are given a Monday-Friday schedule that is much like a class schedule and is the same every week of the semester including finals week. Employees are also scheduled/required to work every other weekend as well a one shift on every “big” weekend (Homecoming, Parents, Moms etc). These schedules are created and set for the entire semester by week one of each semester, thus allowing our employees to know every shift they are responsible for the entire semester. Most employees average 12-16 hours per week.

How to apply?

  1. Have your current class schedule or future class schedule handy. Please don’t give us a list of times “you’d like to work”. We need to see exactly when you are available. From there, we do our best to create a work schedule that fits well into our employee’s class schedules and social activities.
